April 7:
On this day, (7 April, 1789 CE {10/11 Rajab, 1203 AH}), Ottoman Sultan Abdülhamid I (not to be confused with Sultan Abdülhamid II) passed away in Ottoman Istanbul at the age of sixty-four (64). He was the 27th Ottoman Sultan and reigned between 1774 and 1789 CE.
Though he wasn't the most successful of Ottoman Sultans, he was admired by the people for his religious devotion and was even called a wali of Allah/God (a saintly/highly religious person).

April 12:
On this day (April 12, 685 CE {27/28 Sha’ban, 65 AH}), the 5th Umayyad Caliph Abdul Malik ibn Marwan came to power after the death of his father Marwan ibn al-Hakam (Marwan I).
He held administrative and military posts under the founder of the Umayyad Caliphate, Caliph Mu'awiya I (Mu'awiyah ibn Abu Sufyaan radiyallahu anhu) and under his own father, the aforementioned Caliph Marwan I.

April 18:
On this day (April 18, 1590 CE {11/12 Jumada al-Thani, 998 AH}), the 14th Ottoman Sultan, Ahmed I was born in the Manisa Palace in Manisa, modern-day Turkey. He was the Sultan from 1603 until his death at the young age of 27 in 1617.
He is well known for his construction of the Blue Mosque also known as and named after him: Sultan Ahmed Mosque/Sultan Ahmet Camii. It is one of the most famous mosques in Turkey and was built right across from the Aya Sofia (Hagia Sophia) in Istanbul.

April 21:
On this day in history (April 21, 1526 CE {27/28 Jumada al-Thani, 932 AH}), Babur and his (Timurid) Mughal forces defeated the Lodi Dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate at the First Battle of Panipat.
The battle has traditionally marked the beginning of the Mughal Dynasty, which would rule over large parts of the Indian subcontinent until 1857, but others argue against this view and see the outcome of this victory as the resurgence of Timurid rule due to the fact that Babur and his descendants considered themselves to be of the Timurid Dynasty (Timurid Empire).

First Battle of Panipat
April 27:
On this day (27 April, 1909 CE {5/6 Rabi al-Thani, 1327 AH}), Ottoman Sultan-Caliph Abdülhamid II was overthrown and dethroned by the Young Turks.
He is considered the last true Caliph & Sultan of the Ottomans as his reign was the last during which an Ottoman ruler exercised real power over the government.

April 29:
On this day (April 29, 1748 CE {30 Rabi al-Thani, 1161 AH/1 Jumada al-Awwal, 1161 AH}), Mughal Emperor Ahmad Shah Bahadur also known as Mirza Ahmad Shah or Mujahid-ud-Din Ahmad Shah Ghazi became the 13th Mughal Emperor.
He succeeded his father Nasir-ud-Din Muhammad Shah at the young age of 22. When Ahmed Shah Bahadur came to power, the Mughal (Timurid) Empire was a much weakened state and on the verge of collapsing.
April 30:
On this day (April 30, 711 CE {2/3 Rajab, 92 AH}), Umayyad troops led by the Berber Umayyad commander, Tariq ibn Ziyad, landed at Gibraltar to begin the Muslim conquest of Visigothic Hispania (Iberian Peninsula/Modern day Spain & Portugal).
The name "Gibraltar" is named after Tariq ibn Ziyad as it is the Spanish derivation of the Arabic name "Jabal al-Ṭāriq" meaning "mountain of Tariq."
With Gibraltar today being a British Overseas Territory, they have depicted Tariq ibn Ziyad on their 5 Pounds Sterling Note to pay homage to the journey he had taken.
